Meet Fatuma Mohammed, a Digo girl in her early 20s. She managed to attend primary school to class 8. Like any other girl would want to be independent, she has been washing clothes for people for a wage pay of Ksh 300, which is approximately $3. She stays with her parents and dreams of a better life thanks to this training offered by the James 127 foundation. She says that all she wants is good training as provided by the foundation to be a professional tailor in the future, and that will make her self-employed, which will make her support both her parents and her own needs.
