Esther, a mother of one, joined James127 Foundation as a student in the tailoring class in 2019. One year later, she was lucky to be absorbed in the tailoring shop as an employee. At James127 Foundation, upon completion of the training, some trainees are employed to help with tailoring works, earning salaries each month.
Just like any other young woman without a job in Kenya, she faced numerous challenges. Some of the challenges are; lack of money to pay house rent, unable to afford a decent meal for herself and her family, and poor living standards in general. This kind of hardship makes someone feel unworthy because of frustrations and hopelessness.
Esther is now happy and comfortable because she can afford house rent and pay for other needs that she wants. James127 Foundation is a blessing in her life because she is now an independent young woman. After all, she boasts of decent pay each end month. Esther says that now she can support her daughter and mother with the money after working. She is among the best tailors in the Foundation, which has given Esther hope and the will to work harder as a tailor.
Esther narrates how her mother is proud of the woman she has become because she is the breadwinner and caters to all her mother's needs. She says that her daughter lives happy and comfortable because of this chance. Esther adds that she bought a bicycle from the salary to ride to work and back home, which is healthy and saves her money that she would have spent on bus fare.
Her gratitude goes to the donors and sponsors who supported her to train and learn tailoring skills: the Foundation's founder, Miss. Anna Taylor saw her potential and allowed her to join the tailoring training. She says that she can't imagine all the hardships she and her family face now if not for Anna. She also thanks to the head tailor, madam Judith for always guiding her in tailoring whenever she needed help.
As the James127 Foundation's goal is to empower women, Esther is a true inspiration and testimony of the James127 Foundation's good deeds. Be blessed as you support the Foundation.
