Judy W.'s Story - written by Mercy

Judy, a widow and a mother of two boys, came to the James127 Foundation as a student at the tailoring training center run by James127 Foundation in 2017. After which, she started doing some jobs like hawking to cater for her two children.

In 2020 she was called to the Foundation to come and be part of the tailors working there. She narrates how happy she was because the hawking business couldn't sustain the needs of her two boys and herself. Judy says that she knew that life had taken a positive turn to get a salaried job at James127 foundation.

Before employment, Judy was so devastated. She could barely feed, clothe, or see her boys through school. She narrates how her husband's family mistreated her and forced her to stay far away from them. They saw her as a burden and avoided anything to do with her. Judy smilingly says that now her life is much better because she can afford anything for her sons. Thanks to the Foundation, she can feed them well, clothe them, and pay their school fees. Judy is a proud mother, and she says that to her sons, she is a hero. Judy adds that her late husband's family has learned to respect her since she has been employed because she is now an independent woman.

Apart from her two sons, Judy supports her sister, a widow, and stays in the village. Her sister depends on Judy because she has no job to cater for herself. Her brother, too, depends on Judy for everything. This has made her work hard to make the lives of her sons and her other dependants better and comfortable.

Her great thanks and appreciation go to the James127 Foundation, Anna Taylor, for enabling her work and being paid at the Foundation. She says that were it not for Anna, she would still suffer, and her two sons wouldn't be in school as we speak. She also says a big thank you to the donors and supporters who are willing to help widows and orphans in society. As it is said, a good deed is better than a sweet fragrance; let the Almighty bless all that gives to make a difference.
